Dear Panther Community,

Spring is in the air at Florence Elementary, and we are truly lucky to have such wonderful families and students! As we look forward to an exciting month ahead, we are thrilled to announce several upcoming events: Spring Break, Literacy Night, a vibrant Book Fair, and Spring Conferences. In the spirit of community 🌈🍀, we are launching a March Madness attendance challenge, where students can compete for a chance to win a pizza party and extra recess! Not to mention, we will have our Boosterthon Fundraiser Kickoff right before Spring Break, as we rally together to support our school community. Let's make this spring unforgettable!

What's Happening This Month...

Read Across America- March 2-6

March 2-6 is our celebration of Read Across America Week, a joyful occasion dedicated to the love of reading! Established by the NEA in 1998 and aligning with Dr. Seuss's birthday, this week is the perfect opportunity to wear a Seussian hat and dive into classics like One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Let’s come together—students, teachers, parents, and community members—across the nation to enjoy books and inspire excitement about reading. Join us in this delightful celebration!

March Attendance Madness

🏀 March Attendance Madness is Coming to Florence Elementary!

This March, Florence Elementary is kicking off March Attendance Madness! From March 2–27 (with no competition during Spring Break, March 16–20), classrooms will compete in a fun, bracket-style attendance challenge.

Each week, classes will go head-to-head based on overall attendance percentages. Winning classes will advance to the next round, and one classroom will be crowned our Attendance Champion at the end of the month!

Why are we doing this? Because every school day matters. Consistent attendance helps students stay connected, build strong learning habits, and keep up with important instruction.
We can’t do this without you! Please help your child arrive on time and ready to learn each day. Let the games begin! 🏆

Boosterthon Fundraiser Kickoff-March 13

We will kickoff our Boosterthon Fundraiser on March 3th! The funds raised during this event will directly benefit our students by providing essential school supplies and resources. Your support is crucial in helping us create a better learning environment for everyone. Stay tuned for more details on how you can participate!

Spring Break March 16-20 (No School)

As we approach Spring Break, we encourage students to take this opportunity to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. This is also a great time to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!
Important Reminders:
  • Technology Use: Please monitor your child's use of technology during this break. The district will alerted us about inappropriate use, and we want to ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone.
  • Outdoor Activities: Encourage your student to spend time outside! Enjoying fresh air and sunshine is beneficial for both physical and mental health.
Have a wonderful Spring Break filled with fun and relaxation!
